Specimen Requirements
Container/Tube:
Preferred: Plasma, Draw blood in a mint green-top (heparin) gel tube(s).
Acceptable: Serum, Draw blood in a gold-top serum gel tube(s).
Specimen Volume: 1 ml
NOTE: Serum or plasma should be physically separated from cells as soon as possible; a maximum limit of two hours from the time of collection is recommended.
NOTE: Samples should be stored at 4 °C and analyzed within 7 days. For longer storage, samples may be frozen at -20 °C for up to 28 days
