Immunoturbidimetric Assay 

Note:  This is not the same as CD4.

Used for assessing disease activity in autoimmune hemolytic anemia, proliferative glomerulonephritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and systemic lupus erythematosus.

Specimen Requirements

Draw blood in a gold-top serum gel tube(s). Spin down and send 0.5 mL of serum refrigerated.

Note:

1. A speckled-top serum gel tube (s) or a plain, red-top tube(s) is also acceptable.

2. Lithium Heparin Green Tube and EDTA plasma are also acceptable.
