Specimen Requirements

Draw blood in a gold-top or a speckled-top serum gel tube(s). (Green-top [heparin] tube or lavender-top [EDTA] tube is not acceptable.) Spin down and send 1 mL of serum refrigerated. Serum for a trough level should be drawn 15 minutes prior to next oral dose. Serum for a peak level should be drawn 3 hours post oral dose.

Note:  Plain, red-top tube(s) is also acceptable.
