BIO-FLASH Chemiluminescent Immunoassay
Useful for evaluation of patients suspected of having polymyositis. A positive result is consistent with polymyositis and suggests increased risk of pulmonary involvement of these patients.

Specimen Requirements
Draw blood in a gold-top serum gel tube(s). (Hemolyzed, icteric, Microbially contaminated or heat treated specimens are not acceptable.) Spin down and send 1 mL of serum refrigerated. Sample is stable refrigerated 5 days
Note: A speckled-top serum gel tube (s) or a plain, red-top tube(s) is also acceptable.
