Methodology
Immunoturbidimeric Assay
The IgG synthesis (CSF index) is useful in the diagnosis of individuals with multiple sclerosis.
Performing Laboratory
OhioHealth Laboratory Services-RMH Special Testing
Specimen Requirements
BOTH Serum and spinal fluid are required for this test. It is preferred that the collection date and time to be the same for both CSF and serum; however, it is acceptable for them to be drawn within 48 hours of each other.
