Methodology

Syva® Rapid TestTM, DAU 

This test detects amitriptyline, nortriptyline, imipramine, and desipramine.

Useful in detecting overdoses of tricyclic antidepressants.

Confirmation of presumptive positive screening results may be requested within 2 weeks of collection by calling Customer Service. Confirmations are charged as separate tests.

Urine drug screening results should be used for medical (eg, treatment) purposes only.

Specimen Requirements

35 mL (minimum volume:  2 mL with no possibility of confirmation) from a random urine collection in a sterile, screw-capped, glass or plastic urine container. No preservative.
