Test Code LAB93354 Thyroid Cascade

Reporting Title

Thyroid Cascade

Methodology

Testing Algorithm:

If TSH is <0.27 micro IU/mL a T3, FT4, and FT3 are performed at an additional charge.

If the TSH is >4.2 micro IU/mL FT4 and a TPO is performed at an additional charge.

Method Name:  Roche Diagnostics, Electrochemiluminescence Immunoassay at RMH

General Information:

Used as a primary test for differential diagnosis of thyroid disease

Performing Laboratory

OhioHealth Laboratory Services-RMH
