Specimen Requirements

Completed Collector Certification section of requisition (Date and Sealed by:)

Seal container with peel off sticker from the requisition, and intial tape

 

Note: USDTL Newborn Drug Screening Chain of Custody and Control Form must be signed by the specimen collector and ony labeled and sealed specimen containers will be accepted.

 

 

Specimens are shipped in a pre-paid Fed-EX package.

Reference Values

The following drugs will be screened with all positive screens confirmed and quantitated.

Amphetamines, Barbiturates, Buprenorphine, Benzodiazepines, Cocaines, Methadones, Meperidine, Opiates, Codeine, Morphine, Hydrocodone, 9-MAMM, Hydromorphine, Meconin, PCP, Oxycodone, Propoxyphene, Cannabinoids, and Tramadol.

 

Day(s) Test Set Up

Specimens received Monday through Friday are picked up by Fed-Ex; specimens received on weekends (Saturday or Sunday) should be kept refrigerated and shipped on Monday.
